Minister for Regional Development, Conor Murphy, today launched the first ever WI-FI service on public transport in the North.
Free WI-FI will now be available on the Airporter coaches that connect the North West with Belfast’s airports.
At an event to launch the service in Belfast International Airport, the Minister said: “I welcome the opportunity to be here today to launch Airporter’s new on-board WI-FI service. This is a first for the North and I commend the commitment and investment of this forward looking company in the use of modern technology. The introduction of this service will offer passengers the opportunity to ‘stay connected’ when travelling to or from the Belfast Airports.”
The Minister is committed to investing in public transport and to encouraging commuters and other travellers to use public transport. The Minister said “I would encourage everyone to use public transport when they can and I remain committed to improving public transport for all.”
