Speaking at the launch of the Conservative party’s Green Paper, Voluntary Action in the 21st Century at Kent social enterprise Sunlight Development Trust today, Jonathan Bland, Chief Executive of the Social Enterprise Coalition said:
“We are delighted that social enterprise is now a cross party issue. We welcome the interest that the Conservative party is showing in social enterprise with this green paper. In particular, the recognition that the social enterprise business model can be profitable and sustainable, and the key role it can play in delivering public services. We look forward to working with the Conservative party to develop their policy further and consulting our members on the proposals they have outlined.”
