Prime Minister of Ukraine states about probability of privatization’s frustration of a number of strategic objects. Delivering her speech at the enlarged sitting of the Government devoted to 100 days of its activity, Yulia Tymoshenko stated: “today fair and transparent privatization which provides funds for the budget and attracts real investors but not Ukrainian corrupters is blocked in the state”.

According to the Prime Minister, privatization has been practically frustrated. The Head of Government believes that such actions aim at impeding the attraction of nearly 9 billion UAH to the budget and obstructing the return of savings to citizens. The Prime Minister is sure that initiatives of the Cabinet of Ministers on privatization of a number of strategic enterprises are blocked “because proprietors of these enterprises in shadow sector are nominated and these proprietors are waiting when the Government falters and they can take what is promised using an old scheme”.

Yulia Tymoshenko promised that if this process continues she as Prime Minister of Ukraine would have to disclose names and interests of those people who sabotage this privatization.
