London Borough of Hillingdon appoints new Head of Democratic Services

Lloyd White has been appointed as the new Head of Democratic Services at the London Borough of Hillingdon.
 
Lloyd started his career in local government in 1981 at Northampton Borough Council before working for the London Borough of Ealing. Lloyd then worked at the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead for 19 years, the last four as Head of Democratic Services. He also worked in a variety of roles as a committee administrator.
 
He is vastly experienced at running local and national elections, as well as the full range of democratic services. In addition to his work in democratic services in Windsor and Maidenhead, he also co-ordinated on behalf of the council a number of high profile events such as  the wedding of HRH Prince of Wales and the walkabout of Her Majesty The Queen in Windsor for her 80th birthday celebrations.
 
Lloyd commented: “I am very excited about the prospect of joining Hillingdon Council and looking forward to the new challenges and opportunities the role will present."
 
Lloyd will take up his position at the end of March 2008.
